My B-Day, Christmas and Family Things

This last week has been really interesting. Ok, maybe not that interesting, just really busy with lots of Treu Family things going on. WARNING, this is going to be a long blog post with lots of pictures.

First, I have to give a little shout out to my black brother, my dog Jake. He was really sick last weekend and ultimately passed on. Luckily, my dad made it back from Nepal in time to say goodby and hold him as he passed on.  Our family loved Jake so much! He became a part of our family on Christmas morning in 2000, when I was 13 years old. So, Tuesday afternoon we all said our goodbys.

Me and John babysat Jake the weekend before he passed, because my Mom and Dad where both out of town and I had to pick him up from the pet hospital. I knew he was going to pass soon and snapped some quick pictures.

On Wednesday, my brother Kyle proposed to his girlfriend Alicia. Family and friends were invited to watch the proposal. We all hid inside the toy store at Riverwoods in Orem, waiting for Alicia to sit on Santa's lap, which was the cue for us to come outside and witness her say "Yes"!

Thursday was my Birthday! We were supposed to go sledding, but my dad woke up really sick and we all didnt want to leave him behind. So, instead we all went to breakfast at Maglebys Fresh. It was a really yummy breakfast! I even got cake!

Maglebys yummy cake that I took home to eat later that day. It was so good!!!!

Opening presents that night and eating more B-day cake.

We were supposed to go to the Treu cabin directly after sledding. Since we didnt go and my dad was feeling sick, we decided to go Friday. We also decided to have an early Christmas. We didnt want to carry all the gifts up to the cabin, since we didnt know if we would have to snowmobile in or not. So, we had Christmas Friday morning, cleaned up and went to the cabin. Here is a picture of my sister Carli, me and my Mom in the kitchen at the cabin.

Me and my sister worked on puzzles while at the cabin. We love doing puzzles when on vacation. We also played lots of games, drank a lot of Italian sodas, ate yummy food, watched movies, and got to talk to my brother Casey on Christmas morning who is on a mission in Ghana. It was great hearing his voice!

On Monday we finally stepped out of the cabin and went ice skating. My mom didn't go because she got sick. This was the first time I had gone ice skating outside and it was so fun! John had not gone ice skating since 12 and I was surprised how much he loved it. He raced with my brother and dad, we made an ice skating train, and tried turning and spinning. It was so fun!
