My cute husband, Johnny boy!

Johnny the couch potato. Not really, this is just where he spends most of his time right now.

As most of you know, John has been going through some tough things lately. My wonderful sister in law has been writing up-dates on his situation and has done an amazing job! Thank you Marie! I thought i would write a little... Now that we are home!

Its been a week since we got home and things started out a little slow. He couldn't walk to well, let alone sit up. He was so dizzy all the time that any movement in a vertical position did not make him feel to good. When ever he had to walk somewhere he needed to lean on someone to get anywhere. Slowly, but surely he has started walking on his own with a cane and a hand always out. Yesterday and today he gets around our little apartment with out the cane, but still uses it when we leave the house. I think its cute! He is still dizzy, his left eye has not improved, but the good news is that the feeling in his face has come back. He is still taking his steroids and we are hoping to take him off of them. He has developed this bad rash on his chest (we believe its from the steroids).

He has been on a very specific diet, which has made me cook more. Well, not every meal. All my family and ward has been so great to bring over meals. Which i am very thankful for, because i am just now taking my finals for summer term. Yes it has been hard being in school the last week or so, because I like to be next to my Johnny at all times as he goes through this. Back to the specific diet, we have been eating lots of yummy fish! I love fish, john not so much. But he has been a trouper and has had a good attitude about changing his diet. He has also been on herbs and we think they are helping. Thank you Tisha! About a month before this unfortunate mishap, he did not have an appetite. But now that he feels better, he likes to eat. Seriously, he would eat maybe one meal a day (when i say maybe, sometimes it was only a granola bar). So I'm happy that he's eating normal!

We have also been visiting our special friend "Doc", every day. The only problem is that driving to Lehi gives him headaches. Yesterday was the worst day driving in the car. He was in the worst mood after we got home. I don't blame him. Today was a much better drive and i also think that Doc is helping.

Probably the best part about the last two days has been his friends. A couple of times now, he will have friends stop by and play x-box (not ours by the way, a ward member brought it over to help the time pass) or play our Nintendo. You are probably wondering how he plays with only one eye. Well, if you know Johnny, he is really good at any game on any gaming system. Yes, he still beats people, "With one eye" Johnny says when he wins. Thank you to all of those who help him pass the time! It makes him happy, and therefor make me happy! (except when he yells and gets way to excited).
